I’d Rather Be Blind

I first heard “I’d Rather Be Blind”, in the 80’s sung by Etta James, the blues diva.  Later, when I saw/heard that there was a movie called “Cadillac Records“, about that music, I had to tell you about it.

The movie’s tag line says:

Cover of "Cadillac Records"

In this tale of sex, violence, race, and rock and roll in 1950s Chicago, Cadillac Records follows the exciting but turbulent lives of some of America’s musical legends, including Muddy Waters, Leonard Chess, Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf, Etta James

As of this week, Etta James is still alive and kicking, but still in serious condition.
